CONTEXT
CONTEXT
In Visual Frontiers, students built digital design projects centered around an exploratory topic of their choosing. We dedicated an entire academic quarter to development and iteration of this project.
I decided to develop a digital product that bridges wellness and culture. My goal was to present a space that facilitates meaningful writing on wellness, where thoughtful narratives cultivate growth and reflection.

PROBLEM SPACE
PROBLEM SPACE
Most wellness media targeted at women prioritizes consumption over conversation, leaving readers fatigued by trend-driven narratives and the relentless push of product.
REAP.HER was created to cut through the noise, housing reflective writing and cultural commentary whose perspectives challenge expectation and validate lived experience.

PROCESS
My design process started with wireframing the homepage, focusing on component interactions and layout. Early iterations presented content in horizontal carosels, and it was here that I developed REAP.HER's signature scrambling hover effect, where clickable text briefly scrambles before returning to its original state.
I then integrated an early branded interface that pulled inspiration from both rock counterculture and traditional newsprint. The typographic system's blend of sans serif, serif, and old english fonts reflects two distinct and parallel pillars of REAP.HER, a brand that hails divergent thinking and quality text.
